Collaborate

Collaborate: research projects, studies and adaptation of the tools

Your question, a method you can check, a result you can defend.

Everything on these sites is open: the theory, the code, the limits. The next step is your data and your decision. Bring a real problem; we start from what is known about the system, beat an explicit reference, and add complexity only where it pays.

Three ways to work together

1

Answer a call for projects

National (ANR, ADEME), European (Horizon Europe) or regional calls, as partner or coordinator: energy forecasting, renewables on the grid, evaluation of models, medical physics, responsible AI in research.

2

Fund it directly with the school

A research contract with Mines Paris – PSL: a study, a tool adapted to your data, a co-supervised doctorate (for example under the French CIFRE scheme) or a postdoctoral project.

3

Do research together

An academic collaboration when the question interests both sides, with a valorization objective set from day one: a joint paper, open software, a dataset, a transfer to practice.

Collaborations that became results

Medicine

With Marie Fusella Giuntini, Dominique Barbolosi and David Taieb: three equations calibrated on 50 patients to explore radioiodine protocols before treating anyone (Scientific Reports, 2026).

Research on research

With John P. A. Ioannidis (Stanford University), Jeroen Baas and Roy Boverhof (Elsevier): a science-wide map of institutions, impact next to integrity (Royal Society Open Science, 2026).

Energy

With Andreas Kazantzidis (University of Patras) and Jan Kleissl (UC San Diego): does a satellite forecast need the whole field, or one cell? Open code and data, manuscript in preparation.

What can be adapted to your data

How it works

  1. Write a short email: the question, the data, the decision it serves, the timeline.
  2. A first exchange frames the problem: what is known about the system, which reference to beat, what precision is really needed.
  3. The framework is chosen with the services of the school: call, contract or collaboration. Intellectual property, confidentiality and publication are set there.
  4. Results are judged against an explicit reference and, wherever the agreement allows, published with their code.

A question and some data? Let's look at it together.

Every collaboration goes through Mines Paris – PSL: no personal service, no price list.
